Dhaka, Aug. 5 : Saudi Arabia will resume issuing Umrah visas to Bangladeshi pilgrims after the upcoming Hajj season.

According to the Daily Star, Nizar bin Obaid Madani, the state minister for foreign affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has assured this to his Bangladeshi counterpart Shahriar Alam during a meeting with him in Jeddah.

The decision of the Saudi foreign affairs minister Madani came after the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia started hiring Bangladeshi female domestic workers.

Madani added that the recruitment of workers for all the other sectors would begin gradually with the issuance of the visas. (ANI)
