Sarah Palin accuses Obama of trying to be `cool saviour` for inviting Ahmed Mohamed to White House

Washington D.C., Sept 21 : Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has accused US President Barack Obama of trying to be a cool saviour for inviting Ahmed Mohamed, the boy arrested for taking a homemade clock to school, to the White House, and said that the school officials were justified for thinking the device was an explosive.

Palin went on Facebook, and said that Ahmed’s arrest was completely reasonable and school officials were justified for thinking the device, made out of a pencil box, was an explosive, News.com.au reports.

She said that President Obama’s practice of jumping in cases prematurely to interject himself as the cool savior, wanting so badly to attach himself to the issue of the day, got old years ago.

Earlier, President Obama had supported the 14-year-old student who was taken into custody for bringing a homemade clock to school.

He took to twitter to encourage the nine-year-old, saying “Cool clock, Ahmed. Want to bring it to the White House? We should inspire more kids like you to like science. It’s what makes America great.”

Ahmed wanted to show the show his clock to his engineering teacher at a high school in Texas’ Irving city. However, the officials believed that it was a bomb and the device was confiscated by the teacher.

Later, Ahmed was suspended from the school and walked out in handcuffs. (ANI)
