Sandra Lee returns home after new cancer surgery Aug 13, 3:29 pm

Washington DC, August 13 (ANI): American chef Sandra Lee, who underwent a major surgery to treat a lingering infection following her double mastectomy for breast cancer, happily walked out of the hospital.

The 48-year-old chef, accompanied by her longtime partner Andrew Cuomo, gave thumps-up to photographers as she headed home to recover, the People Magazine reported.

Lee, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in March, was recently hospitalised for several days due to an infection.

Her team took to Facebook and wrote “up and energised” and “determined to go home today, even if that means ‘hosting’ a pick line or med line for IV infusions, as she must stay on massive antibiotics for a couple of weeks to fight against infection.”

The ‘Food Network’ star, who became famous for her host of television cooking shows, will b under nursing care for several weeks and will receive antibiotics through a PICC line (a peripherally inserted central catheter), said her rep. (ANI)
