Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have a huge fan following across the border as well. This was endorsed again on Thursday when a 27-year-old Pakistani woman travelled to India without passport or visa just to have a glimpse of the actors.
She has been detained in Jalandhar after she was found to carry no passport, visa or ticket. She was arrested while travelling from Karachi to New Delhi on board Samjhauta Express.
According to GRP officials, the woman, Chanda, whose husband’s name is Salman Khan and resides in Karachi in Pakistan, had boarded the train from Atari border.
While the police are investigating the statement given by the woman, she has been handed over by Government Railway Police to Attari police.
The matter has been taken up by the police seriously due to proximity of Jalandhar with Gurdaspur, which witnessed a deadly terror attack on Monday.
