A 23-year-old Russian woman ‘Darya Yurieva Prokina’ sustained severe injuries in an acid attack by alleged estranged Indian lover on Friday morning in Varanasi.
The accused is identify as the grandson of the owner of the home in Lanka police station area where she was staying from past 4 months.
The woman suffered acid burns on the right side of her body and was hospitalized by the landlady and was brought and admitted to BHU.
The son of the house owner is the prime suspect in the incident.
According to the Police, Siddharth and Darya were in a live-in relationship. “Darya was planning on returning home. The decision led to some argument between the two and is probably the reason wy Siddharth might have attacked her”, the SSP suspects..
The Senior Superintendent of Police Akaash Kulhari said the prime suspect is absconding and the interrogation and investigation is underway.
