Rs 82 cr for college facilities Kadiam

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today reiterated that the TRS government would provide free Intermediate education to the poor students through KG-to-PG scheme from next academic year.

Participating in some developmental works at Sangem and Geesukonda areas in Warangal district, the minister maintained that Rs 82 crore would be spent to provide facilities and infrastructure at junior colleges. “The government was committed to keep its promise of free and intensive education the poor across the State”, he said, adding that the Education department will undergo a thorough overhaul to offer quality education to surpass others.

The Deputy Chief Minister also alleged that AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was relentlessly hatching conspiracies against development of Telangana. Though Naidu is coming in the way of Telangana, the Telangana TDP leaders were extending support to him unashamedly, he said.

Referring to Congress protests against the State government, Srihari lashed out at TPCC chief Utham Kumar Reddy for housing irregularities during the Congress rule. He warned that his government will take serious action against alleged irregularities of thousands of crores in Indiramma Housing scam. The Government, he said, will give houses to the deserving poor and payoff the bills to real beneficiaries. (NSS)
