Rs 64-cr for Siddipet drinking water supply scheme: Harish

The State Government has sanctioned Rs 64 crore for implementing a drinking water scheme in Siddipet town of Medak district, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has said.

Talking to mediapersons at Medak, the minister said the government was committed to provide safe and potable water to every household as promised. Works on the project would be completed as per the plan, he stated. Siddipet people will get drinking water facility along with old town and other six villages merged into the town, he stated. When completed, every person of a household in the town will get at least 135 liters of drinking water, Harish Rao maintained. He advised the people not to worry about water supply as the TRS government was taking all measures to address their needs, he added. (NSS)
