Rift in TRS over Dayakar Rao’s nomination

Hyderabad: CM of Telangana, Mr. KCR has instructed the Ministers and TRS leaders to work united for the success of Mr. Dayakar Rao for Warangal Parliamentary election.

It is reported that CM issued these instructions after receiving the information that the party leaders have differences on the nomination of Dayakar Rao. He contacted TRS leaders engaged in campaigning for Dayakar and told them not to reveal any difference of opinion about the party candidate.

Reliable sources indicated that Mr. K. Sri Hari, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao and Mr. Harish Rao are opposing the nomination of Dayakar Rao. Mr. KCR took serious note of it and instructed the ministers to concentrate all their attention on Warangal election. Mr. KCR clarified that the nomination of Dayakar Rao was finalized taking into consideration the present political situation of Warangal and the possibilities of his winning the seat.

It is presumed that Mr. Dayakar Rao has no popularity in the district. He is known as the sculptor of Telugu Talli statue. It is reported that in the party meeting Ministers and public representatives had suggested various names for this nomination but Mr. KCR nominated Dayakar Rao on his own. There are complaints that the opinions of the local leaders and TRS workers have been neglected. Due to this reason many TRS leaders of Warangal have maintained distance from the Warangal election campaign. It is said that Mr. KCR is taking this by-election as the prestige issue of TRS Party. He said that the result of this election would testify the functioning of TRS during the past 18 months.
