Residential School Teachers Withdraw Stir—Srihari’s Assurance

Talks held between the government and residential school teachers Association today fructified. Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister K Srihari held talks with a delegation of the teachers association.
After a patient hearing, the minister assured that their just demands and issues would be resolved in two weeks. The Government is committed to address the issues of the teachers and other staff, Srihari said. He also asked them to offer the best services in the residential schools which will be provided with all facilities and infrastructure with funds. Srihari further stated that the association demands and issues will be taken to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to take a final call. Following Srihari’s appeal, the association agreed to abstain from conducting the protests and agitations planned from Saturday. (NSS)
