Release Manager Requirement @ Aveva

Job Description:

Dimensions

The position has dimensions across all EDS Product Development Projects in all locations.
Reports to Head of Operations, EDS and is member of EDS Operations Team.
The role has a matrix relationship to the development organizations and will be highly weighted towards Agile development practices.
Travel profile is expected to be less than 20% (less than 25 days away from home per year) perhaps more in the initial 12 months.

The Release Manager/Operations Lead is responsible for:

Release Planning and Execution:

Contribute to planning and maintenance of the EDS Release Roadmap with a focus on Hyderabad activities.
Work with the development team ensure achievable plans for delivery of EDS Roadmap.
Facilitate resource planning and allocation.
Work with other Hyderabad Operations team members to ensure clear status communication.
Coordinate activities Operational managers in outsource partners, Training and Product Support, System Test, Documentation, Quality Management
Manage release and project dependencies between sites.

Management:

Project manage the release of EDS software products based on agreed business constraints
Develop Release/Programme implementation plans as appropriate.
Help co-ordinate and make visible metrics related to Scrum deliveries status into Releases. Help Project managers to manage scrum activities which are on the critical path of releases and make adjustments as required to keep things on track.
Escalate issues to Head of Operations and key stakeholders in an appropriate way.
Ensure the maintenance activities are well planned and managed across the teams.
Supporting the Head of Operations on special initiatives as required.

Excellent interpersonal skills and sensitivity to the roles of other stakeholders.
Able to collaborate with and support other members of Hyderabad Management and wider organization.
Knows when to talk and when not to talk.
Knows how and when to escalate appropriately
Must possess excellent problem solving and facilitation skills.
A clear and proactive communicator for meetings, presentations, video conferences, telephone conferences and all forms of written communication.
Must be a diligent and focussed individual who is able to achieve high performance and set standards in a dynamic and expanding company.
The ability to manage multiple complex projects across multiple international locations.
Experience of working with and delivering to clients and business development units
Financially aware with an understanding of budgetary control, costing and forecasting.
Willing to travel on an occasional basis to locations across the world
