Regime change a must for ISIS to be beatable in Syria, warn experts

London, Aug. 17 : Experts have warned that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) cannot be beaten in Syria unless there is a regime change, following horrific revelations by defectors in Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government.

According to The Independent, a doctor, a pathologist, a judge and a chemical weapons official from within the Syrian regime spoke about the atrocities being committed in Syria and their frustration at the lack of attention from the global community.

One of the defectors Dr Mohamad F. has been identified as a coroner at the University Hospital in Aleppo until he tried to flee and was arrested on charges of being “a terrorist threat”.

He said that he had seen “policemen rape and children in front of other detainees”.

He also said that whatever he suffered was nothing compared to the pain others have gone through.

Dr Abed Tawab Shahrour, 50, then the university’s chief pathologist said that he had witnessed and documented repeated evidence of the use of chemical weapons by the Assad regime. (ANI)
