Ram Temple issue: purely political, says convener of Babri Masjid Action Committee
With the first lot of stones reaching Ayodhya for the construction of the Ram Temple, Zafaryab Jilani the Convener of Babri Masjid action committee, has said it is purely a political activity and has nothing to do with religious activity.

“The transportation of some stones to Rajasthan or shifting of stones which have already been carved out is not at all a issue for the case pending before the honorable supreme court this is being done only to give a message to that constituency of 10-15 percent voters. So it is to satisfy that constituency that they are doing some activity and they are attracting the attention of the media so that it will circulate it to the people that some activity is done there. So it is purely a political activity and has nothing to do with religious activity,” Jilani told ANI here.

He further marked that it wants to create a atmosphere of communal disharmony for 2017 elections and said that Muslims will obey the orders of Supreme Court as the matter is still in the court.

Almost six months after Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) announced its nationwide drive to collect stones for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, two trucks of stones arrived in the temple city yesterday.

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat had earlier in Kolkata expressed the hope that a Ram temple would be constructed in his lifetime.

“India is rich in religion and culture. Ram is our ideal whom some regard as god and some as a great man … Society should rise taking inspiration from Ram and Sharad Kothari and prepare for building a grand Ram temple like Somnath,” the RSS chief said in his tweet. (ANI)
