Pulse prices decline as over 82000 tons seized

New Delhi: Over eighty two thousand tonnes of pulses have been seized so far during the de-hoarding operations launched by several states, thus resulting in a marginal fall in the whole sale prices.

An official release said that during the drive around eight thousand and four hundred raids were conducted across the States.

It said, the state governments have initiated action under Essential Commodity Act to make available seized pulses in retail markets.

The states have indicated that seized stocks will be made available in retail markets within a week.

More states have also started selling pulses through government and cooperative outlets. The release also added that prices of pulses in the whole sale market have also registered declining trend. (ANI)
