In a shocking incident, a school principal from Shajapur district has been detained for allegedly raping and then giving contraceptive to a 12-year-old girl, reports HT.
Sapan Mishra the principal had been repeatedly raped the 7 class student during every visit she made at his home for private tuition.
When the student complained having stomach pains on Friday, Mishra forced her to take contraceptive pills. But the pain still persists even after consuming the tablets.
After she returned home, when her parents asked her about it she told them she had been repeatedly raped by the principal at his home.
Following this the family lodged a police complaint against Mishra, who was arrested after the complaint.
“Acting on the complaint by the victim and her family members, police arrested the accused and registered a case against him under POCSO (protection of Children from Sexual Offenders) Act and relevant sections of the IPC and SC/ST Act. Further investigations into the case are on,” Shajapur deputy superintendent of police (AJAK) Premsingh Bhadoriya spoke to HT.
