New Delhi, Sept 20 : President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday extended his greetings and felicitations to the government and people of the Republic of Malta on the eve of their Independence Day.
“On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I extend to you and to the friendly people of Malta my heartiest felicitations on the occasion of your Independence Day,” he said in his message to President of the Republic of Malta, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca.
President Mukherjee further said India and Malta have always shared warm and friendly relations.
“I am confident that in the coming years, the relationship between our two countries will be further strengthened for the mutual benefit of our peoples,” President Mukherjee said.
“I take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for your personal health and well being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Malta,” he added. (ANI)
