The last date to submit forms for post & pre matric scholarships provided by the central government is August 31; but unfortunately the EPass Site is experiencing recurrent disruptions and remains inoperative for hours. Surprisingly the site works properly during night hours while it remains dysfunctional during the day. Why the error in the website for scholarship to minority students is not corrected? Why the minority students and their guardians are pestered? Why the website is being kept open during the night instead of day? These are the questions which have no answers with either State Minority Finance Corporation or Minority Welfare department. According to sources the website is deliberately kept close to provide benefit to internet cafes or other institutions working for commercial purpose.
Students arriving at Siasat Helpline Desk to submit their applications online also face similar hardship. They have to sit for hours waiting for the website to open. Hence students’ parents have requested Union Minister for Minority Welfare Mrs. Najma Heptulla to pay attention towards the issue and extend date for online application of scholarships.
