Ponnam advises KCR to stay in China for two years

Stating that K Chandrashekar Rao’s visit to China brought good rainfall in the Telangana State, Congress senior leader and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar advised the Chief Minister to stay in China for at least two years.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, Ponnam said that the entire Telangana State started receiving good rainfall only after KCR left the country. He said KCR’s absence in the State was proving lucky for drought farmers. He said that the Chief Minister should stay away from the State for a longer time so that farmers could reap a good crop.

Ponnam said that the recent suicide by farmer Limbaiah in Hyderabad clearly shows the intensity of farm crisis. However, he said that the State administration did not enter into active despite so many suicides in the last few days. He condemned Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy for stating that only 491 suicides were reported since TRS Government took over. He said more than 100 suicides were reported from Medak district alone and the government paid compensation to only 55 families. (INN)
