Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has demanded that the Centre implement all assurances made in the Andhra Pradesh Re-organization Act.
Speaking to the media on Assembly premises here on Thursday, Ponguleti alleged that the assurances made to Telangana State were not being implemented. He said the Khammam district has lost a lot due to division of the State. “The Union government was not caring about the Bayyaram Steel plant issue and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not looking at Telangana State problems at all”. He asked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to mount pressure on the Centre in this regard by joining hands with the Opposition parties in the State. (NSS)
