Proposal to include bank linked subsidy scheme within the framework of investigations carried out into alleged irregularities into Shaadi Mubarak scheme is under consideration. Special team of anti-corruption bureau is investigating the complaints received regarding Shaadi Mubarak scheme and it has sought details of the beneficiaries from the offices of Minority Welfare in Hyderabad, Rangareddy and other districts.
Minority Welfare Department sources said that on the direction of Chief Minister, Director General Anti Corruption Bureau A K Khan has set up a team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police for each district. During primary investigations role of middlemen and deposit of amount in beneficiaries account more than once have been revealed. Keeping this in view it has been proposed to include bank linked subsidy scheme within the framework enquiry.
