UP police killed hotel owner, waiter over petty bill issue

Saharanpur: Uttar Pradesh police is once again in the news.

In a bone chilling incident, a police constable shot dead a hotel owner and a waiter over bill issues.

The incident occurred in Sher-e-Punjab hotel near Railway station at around 12pm where the constable Kapil with two other men reached the hotel, according to areport published in India Today.

“They were in civil dress and were also drinking. Bhola objected to this as some families were also sitting in the hotel. Later we gave them a bill of Rs 270 and he only gave Rs 200. He again entered into an altercation with Bhola and threatened him of dire consequences soon”, Abdul Majid, an employee of the hotel said.

However, after about half an hour, Kapil in police uniform and shot dead hotel owner Bhola ji.

“Before we could understand anything, he went straight to the counter and shot Bhola with a revolver. When Hitler tried to intervene, he also shot him”, Majid added.

Kapil ran away towards the railway station in a bid to escape but was nabbed by public and handed over to the Government Railway Police(GRP).

SSP Saharanpur RPS Yadav have promised a strict action against the accused.
