Tirumala Two Town Police detained a gang, which was selling Srivari special darshan tickets illegally, here on Sunday. The gang members had special darshan tickets with the help of Tirupati MLA recommendation letter. They were selling the L1 darshan tickets to the devotees at Rs.10,000 each, the police revealed.
The police was shocked on knowing that one of the gang members was a head constable. The police were interrogating the gang members.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam has reduced issuing of additional quota laddu tokens keeping brahmotsavams in view. The TTD officials have revealed that they have reduced the tokens from 25,000 to 15,000. They said that they took this decision to overcome the brahmotsavams rush. (NSS)
