PM Modi trying to stop ‘honest politics’: Sisodia

New Delhi: Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of attempting to stop ‘honest politics’ following the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)’s raid on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s office.

“Modi is trying to stop honest politics by scaring (us) with CBI raids. People are with truth, they will not let him succeed,” Sisodia tweeted.

He said that the Prime Minister Modi-led Government was trying to instil fear among officers working under Delhi Government

“A Chief Minister’s office has been raided, the files Chief Minister’s office are being looked into. Let Modi ji tell which files he wants to look into? They are trying to instil fear in the officers working under Delhi government,” Sisodia told reporters.

He also accused the BJP-led Central Government of indulging in vendetta politics.

Refuting Kejriwal’s allegation on raid, the CBI said that his secretary’s office had been searched with a clear warrant, and not the office of the Chief Minister.

However, Kejriwal accused them of ‘lying’ and asserted that the CBI was looking at the files in the Chief Minister’s office.

Meanwhile, the government slammed Kejriwal of accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the raid on his office and said that it has become a ‘fashion’ for the Delhi Chief Minister to bicker with the Centre and blame them for everything.
