“A tribute to history. PM @narendramodi lays wreath at the Ismaili Somoni Monument in Dushanbe,” he posted.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi was accorded a ceremonial welcome in Tajikistan, where he arrived on the last leg of his Central Asian tour.
He later held restricted talks with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, before the two sides held delegation level talks.
The last prime ministerial visit to Tajikistan was by former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in November 2003. (ANI)
