New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Indian tennis ace Leander Paes and his Swiss partner Martina Hingis on winning the mixed doubles title at US Open.
“Well played again, Leander Paes and Martina Hingis. Congrats on a great win. We are all very delighted”, the Prime Minister said.
The duo won the Mixed Doubles trophy of season’s Final Grand Slam defeating Americans Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Sam Querrey 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 to lift their third title of this season.
Paes and Hingis have together won the Australian Open and Wimbledon Championship earlier this year. (ANI)
