New Delhi, Sept.12 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong and his People’s Action Party (PAP) on winning Singapore general election.
“Congrats Lee Hsien Loong and People’s Action Party (PAP) for the poll win. Looking forward to working with PM Lee to further deepen India-Singapore ties,” he said.
The People’s Action Party (PAP), which has ruled since independence in 1965, secured about 69.9 percent of the votes, by securing 83 of 89 seats, above the 60.1 percent it won in the last election in 2011. (ANI)
