PM appeals voters of Bihar to show up in large numbers

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the people of Bihar to vote in large numbers in the fifth and final phase of the state assembly polls.

“I appeal to all the voters to vote in large numbers in the fifth and final phase of Bihar Assembly polls today,” he tweeted.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah also asked the people to vote in large numbers.

“Vote in large numbers for development in Bihar,” he re-tweeted a tweet by the BJP.

The fifth and final phase of the Bihar Assembly polls began on Thursday for the remaining 57 of the 243 seats.

In Bihar, amidst tight security arrangement, aggressive voting has been registered during the fifth and final phase of polling in 57 constituencies spread over nine districts of the state. These districts are Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Madhepura, Saharsa and Darbhanga. (ANI)
