Petition against Amir Khan’s ‘PK’ for hurting religious sentiments

Indore: The district court on Friday issued notices to Bollywood star Aamir Khan and four others on a review petition alleging that his superhit film `PK’ hurt religious sentiments.

Additional sessions judge B S Rawat issued notices to Aamir, director of the film Rajkumar Hirani, script writer Abhijat Joshi, Madhya Pradesh government and former chairman of CBFC Leela Samson while hearing the petition of Lalji Gaur.

The next hearing is slated for November 16.

Gaur’s petition seeking criminal action against Aamir and others had been dismissed by the judicial magistrate on September 23, which he has now challenged, said his lawyer Mukesh Deval.
