People waving Pak, ISIS flags in J-K don’t understand ‘principles’ of Islam: BJP

Supaul, (Bihar), July 18 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday condemned waving of Pakistan and ISIS flags in Jammu and Kashmir, saying that such people do not understand the ‘principles’ of Islam as Eid is an occasion which is celebrated with warmth and unity.

” Eid is an occasion of celebrations and it is unfortunate that people are creating this kind of a scenario on such a day. They did not even care about it. The way Pakistani flags were waved in Kashmir is condemnable. They do not understand the principles of Islam. People are supposed to celebrate this festival in unity,” said BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain.

Pakistan and ISIS flags were waved in Srinagar today during the protest over hardline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s detention.

The police personnel had to fire tear gas shells to disperse the protestors, who pelted stones at the men in uniform, to vent their ire over Geelani’s house arrest.

Geelani and several other separatist leaders have been put under house arrest in the city. (ANI)
