New Delhi, Nov.11 : People from all walks of life greeted President Pranab Mukherjee on the occasion of Diwali at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Wednesday.
Those in attendance offered sweets and greetings to the President on the occasion.
Earlier, the President had in a message, said the festival of Diwali should become a ‘catalyst for greater unity’ within the country.
“Let us on this Diwali join forces, help needy and engage in collective efforts to lead nation to greater and greater glory,” he said.
“May the festival bring joy and prosperity to all sections of our people across the length and breadth of the country,” he added.
He also urged the countrymen to celebrate the festival in a pollution-free manner. (ANI)
