Karachi : PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan on Thursday sent a letter to his Indian counterpart Shashank Manohar expressing disappointment at the treatment meted out to his delegation, which visited Mumbai this week for talks over the possibility of an Indo-Pak bilateral cricket series in December.

A reliable source in the board confirmed to PTI that Shaharyar had written a strongly-worded letter to BCCI President Shashank Manohar.

“In the letter the PCB Chairman has pointed out that the PCB delegation went to India on the invitation of the BCCI and still didn’t get the required hospitality,” the source said.

“He has said in the letter that it was disappointing and a matter of concern that the BCCI didn’t hold the promised talks on the series because of one incident of the Shiv Sena activists storming the Indian board offices in Mumbai,” the source said.

According to the source, Shaharyar has also urged Manahor to come clean on whether the Indian board is interested in playing the series with Pakistan as per the conditions of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two boards last year as time was running out for the PCB to make preparations for the series.
