Pawan meets Naidu, thanks for heeding his advice on forcible land acquisition

Jana Sena founder-president and popular Tollywood hero Pawan Kalyan today called on AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu at his camp office at Vijayawada and closeted with him for about three hours.

Speaking to the media later, Pawan Kalyan said he congratulated the Chief Mnister for laying foundation for the new capital city as he did not attend the function on that day. He said he thanked Naidu for his decision not to acquire land forcibly from the farmers for Amaravathi.

Responding to a question, Pawan said the BJP will have to face problems if it failed to fulfill promises given to Andhra Pradesh. He also said he will not keep quiet if injustice was meted out to the State and its people. “We have to wait and see because the Centre has said it would fulfill all promises,” he added. “We have discussed the issue of special category status to AP. The Centre has to accord special category status to the State otherwise it will be a loss to the BJP”, he quipped. “There would be no use and we cannot get the desired results if we invade roads demanding implementation of the Centre’s promise,” he said.

To another question, the actor-turned-politician said was not financially strong to expand his Jana Sena party further. Pawan Kalyan said he did not discuss about the proposed elections to the GHMC with the AP Chief Minister. He only discussed about a GO issued allowing bauxite mining in Visakhapatnam agency areas and urged the Chief Minister to withdraw the GO which would affect the living conditions of girijans. He also said he brought to the notice of Chandhrababu Naidu about the problems of farmers under the jurisdiction of Amaravathi. (NSS)
