Pattas of Waqf land under Masjid Chiyunti Shah cancelled

Declaring the graveyard land attached to Masjid Chiyunti Shah, Kattalguda as Waqf land, Secretary Masjid Committee Basith Nawaz Khan and Waris Mohammed Khan alias Khaleel, President Telangana Waqf Protection Society Mr. Osman bin Mohammed Al-Hajari and Mr. Syed Kareemuddin Shakeel moved to the court against Collector Hyderabad for issuing pattas to the tenants.

A legal notice was issued by the society under section 80 demanding cancellation of pattas, as converting of Waqf property into Poramboke land (government land) is illegal. The copies of the notice were sent to all concerned revenue officials and also to Telangana Chief Minister.

The Waqf Board also declared the move of the said collector as illegal and after surveying the land declared the graveyard land attached to Masjid Chiyunti Shah as Waqf and ordered and to cancel all pattas.

A delegation led by Society Mr. Osman bin Mohammed Al-Hajari called on Siasat editor Mr. Zahed Ali Khan and thanked him for his patronage and cooperation in the matter.
