All party meeting on BC Voters enumeration on Nov 27

GHMC Commissioner and District Election Officer Dr. B Janardhan Reddy has informed that a meeting with all political parties would be held on 27th November with regard to B.C. voters enumeration in all the Circle Offices.

In this connection, the DEO has appealed all political parties to send their representatives to attend the proposed meeting.

The DEO said that the enumeration has been going on in a very transparent way. The door to door survey for identification of B.C. voters is being carried out as per the guidelines issued in the G.O.Ms.No.444 MA&UD Department Dt.4.10.2015 under the supervision of senior and responsible officers who were appointed as Supervisory Officers to oversee the verification of the field staff.  In addition to this the Deputy Commissioners and Zonal Commissioners are also randomly verifying the field work to ensure that all the voters were covered as per the polling station list.  He further clarified in respect of percentage of B.C. voters, 33% of the Wards will be reserved for B.C. voters.

The DEO held a review meeting with all the Zonal Commissioners on Sunday. While interacting with the officials, he has enquired about the detail process of the ongoing work and directed the officials to personally monitor the process and see that there should not be any scope of any problems.  The GHMC has deployed around 7,000 Booth Level Officers and also about 10,000 staff of GHMC to take up B.C. enumeration.

Dr. Janardhan Reddy directed the Zonal Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to re-check the B.C. enumeration work. Once the survey for identification of B.C. voter is done and a draft list of ward-wise voters is prepared, the list marked with B.C. voters will be published on November 26 and the above list will be made available in the Circle and Ward Offices of GHMC.  He further stated if any voter or political party is aggrieved with the identification of the draft list, they could file claims and objections within a period of seven days from 27th November to 3rd December in the prescribed forms.  All claims and objection will be disposed off after due verification and the final list of Ward-wise electrical roll marked with B.C. will be published on 8th December.
