Paris bomber Ibrahim’s mom says son innocent, blew himself up due to stress

Paris: The mother of a Paris suicide bomber has said that her son blew himself up due to stress and he did not mean to kill anyone.

Thirty-one-year-old Ibrahim Abdeslam blew himself up outside the cafe Comptoir Voltaire as part of coordinated attacks which he and his associates unleached in Paris on Friday night, killing 129 people.

A day after the attacks, his brother Mohamed Abdeslam was arrested in Molenbeek in Brussels.

Their third brother, Salah managed to escape to Belgium after the attacks and is now the object of a massive international manhunt.

Ibrahim’s mother suggested that he carried out the attack because he was ‘stressed’ and that he had not planned to kill anyone.

“This was not his plan, that’s for sure,” she said. ‘The fact that his suicide belt exploded without killing anyone says a lot,” Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

The Cafe Voltaire explosion was one of the seven deadly attacks carried out by the terrorists on the night of Paris seize.
