Noted Indian film personality Mr. Raza Murad said that Hyderabad occupies a distinguished place among the states of India with regard to promotion of Urdu. Urdu is getting promoted here especially since after K Chandrasekhar Rao became the chief minister. The need is that Urdu speaking people should come forward for the cause of promoting and developing Urdu instead of lamenting upon the situation. He told that he will never turn his back on the development and promotion of Urdu language if his services are sought for that. These views were expressed by him at a meeting held here at the office of Telangana State Urdu Academy. A large number of university professors, lecturers, teachers, poets, journalists besides the staff of Urdu Academy were present on the occasion.
