Mumbai, Nov. 4 : The Shiv Sena on Wednesday dubbed Pakistan as ‘factory of terrorism’ and said that it has become their national duty to fight against the neighbouring nation.
Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut lashed out at Pakistan’s former president Pervez Musharraf over his remark that the organisation behind the Dadri lynching case should be declared a ‘terrorist’ group.
“Who is Musharraf? He had run away from the terrorists of Pakistan. Pakistan itself is a terrorist nation. Pakistan is factory of terrorism. It becomes our national duty to fight against Pakistan. We are not terrorists. If they stop terrorism, then we won’t fight with them,” Raut told ANI.
“The Shiv Sena will continue to fight. If they think we are terrorists, then we are terrorists for them. Pakistan should feel that there is a political party in India which can challenge them,” he added.
Musharraf had yesterday alleged that the Shiv Sena is an extremist organisation.
“The Pakistan government should appeal to the United Nations to declare it as an extremist organisation, terrorist organisation,” he added during the book launch event of former Pakistan’s foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri in Karachi.
Meanwhile, taking a dig at Pakistan ghazal singer Ghulam Ali, Raut said, “We agree that he (Ghulam Ali) is a great personality. There is much bitterness in the relations between the two nations, and that is from Pakistan, so people do not want to keep any relations with Pakistan.”
“We have opposed his concert in Mumbai and we will continue to do so. Kejriwal has said that he will permit Ghulam Ali’s concert in Delhi. We will see how he does that,” he added.
Raut further said, “There must be fear of the Shiv Sena. If Pakistan and these traitors are not scared of the Shiv Sena, then whom will they be scared of?”
Ghulam Ali, whose concert in Mumbai was called off after resistance from the Shiv Sena, has cancelled all his scheduled performances in the country, saying that he won’t return to India until things are settled down. (ANI)
