Srinagar, July 18 (ANI): Pakistan and ISIS flags were waved in Srinagar on Saturday during the protest over hardline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s detention.

The police personnel had to fire tear gas shells to disperse the protestors, who pelted stones at the men in uniform, to vent their ire over Geelani’s house arrest.

Geelani and several other separatist leaders have been put under house arrest in the city.

According to reports, Geelani was not allowed to offer prayers in a mosque on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr as he remained under house arrest since his return from New Delhi on April 15.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had yesterday filed a chargesheet against two separatist leaders associated with hardline faction of the Hurriyat Conference, claiming their alleged involvement in funding the terror activities. (ANI)
