Pak to host second round of talks between Afghan Govt., Taliban on July 31

Karachi: A senior Pakistani official has said that the country will host the second round of talks between the Afghan Government and Taliban on July 31.

According to the Express Tribune, the first round of talks between the two parties was held on July 7 in Pakistan’s tourist resort of Murree.

The official rejected reports that the talks could be held in China or Qatar, confirming that the talks will be held in Pakistan.

He also said that some progress is expected in the second round of talks between the Afghan Government and Taliban.

There are various challenges and difficulties in the process, but since the environment is conducive, hopes are also there, said the official. (ANI)
