Pak food authority seizes large amounts of suspected pork near Lahore station

Karachi, Sep 2 : Pakistan Punjab’s Food Authority (PFA) team has seized a large amount of suspected pig meat near Lahore Railway Station.

According to the Dawn, the meat was seized during a raid by a PFA team led by Director General Ayesha Mumtaz.

Mumtaz said that the raid was conducted on information that pork is being supplied and sold in the city in the name of beef and mutton while pig fat was being used in the making of ice cream.

The person carrying the supply was arrested and handed over to police for further investigation in order to nab the group involved. (ANI)
