Pak flags waved in valley: Congress accuses Govt. of going soft on separatists

New Delhi, July 17:The Congress party on Friday launched an attack on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government over the waving of Pakistani and ISIS flags in Srinagar, saying the latter is going soft on separatists.

“The Pakistani flag is flying in the Kashmir valley since the day Mr. Mufti Mohammad took over as the Chief Minister with the support of the BJP and the Prime Minister,” Congress leader PC Chacko told ANI.

“The fact is that the government in Jammu and Kashmir and the Central Government is going soft on separatists. Separatists are getting all assistance from across the border and challenging the government,” he added.

Pakistani and ISIS flags were reportedly waved today in Srinagar after the Juma-tul-Wida namaz, which is held on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramzan.

The city also witnessed a clash between police and protesters, where the former resorted to tear gas shelling in order to disperse the agitators. (ANI)
