Pak abducts 18 Indian fishermen

Porbandar: The Pakistan Marine Security Agency (PMSA) on Saturday allegedly abducted 18 Indian fishermen and seized three fishing boats from a location close to the International Maritime Boundary off Jakhau coast in Gujarat.
Secretary of National Fishworkers’ Forum (NFF) Manish Lodhari said the PMSA had taken the boats and the fishermen to Karachi. “Today morning, PMSA took 18 fishermen and three boats towards Karachi. In the last one month, they have arrested 19 boats and 117 fishermen,” he said.
He further said that they would write to the government to initiate action in this matter.
On October 3, PMSA had apprehended 65 Indian fishermen along with their 12 boats off the Gujarat coast. In April this year, PMSA had detained 47 Indian fishermen along with their boats, while in January they had detained 38 Indian fishermen.
