Hyderabad: Osmania University has gained number 1 position in State Universities of the country. This was disclosed by Registrar of Osmania University, Prof. E. Suresh Kumar in a press conference held yesterday. He further told that India Today’s Nelson Survey of India evaluated Osmania University as number 1 after reviewing the status of all the universities in the country. It has been rated as the 5th university among the Central Universities of India. He also told that Osmania university exhibited tremendous performance in the areas of research, publications and teaching. He hoped that in the next three years this old university will celebrate its centenary. Present on this occasion were members of the faculty, Principals of colleges, Chairpersons of Boards of Studies and other professors.
