New Delhi, Sept. 6 : Congress leader Tom Vadakkan on Sunday said that the one rank one pension (OROP) scheme is just another empty promise made by the NDA regime at the Centre.
“This is a U-turn by the government. They have decided to take a half measure keeping in mind the fear syndrome of the Bihar election. This is yet another Jumla (platitude). We have raised the pension for the veterans thrice in our regime. The PM in his rallies had talked about that. They were just Jumlas (platitudes).” Vadakkan told ANI.
Reacting to the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) meeting that took place on Friday, Vadakkan said “This is a government being run in direct control by the RSS.” (ANI)
