Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today ridiculed the Opposition parties saying they were contesting MLC elections to protect identity of their parties.
Along with the party leaders and activists, the minister accompanied TRS candidate Bhupal Reddy for filing nomination for the election. Speaking to mediapersons later, Harish Rao said the Opposition parties were fielding their candidates in the MLCs poll fray only to prove their existence.
Despite losing peoples’ faith, the Opposition parties entered the poll fray, he ridiculed. Harish Rao claimed that the ruling party will bag all the 12 seats. There was no chance for the Congress and Telugu Desam leaders in the pools, he said. Efforts will be made to get big majority in Medak district polls than other districts, he said. Harish Rao also exuded confidence that the people have faith in the ruling party for several welfare schemes and development programs. (NSS)
