New Delhi, Sept. 25 : Supporting India’s intention to reply to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s suggestions on the resolution of the so-called Kashmir issue or dispute, Rashtriya Janata Dal ( RJD) leader Manoj Jha on Friday said he would like to see the Indian delegation led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi giving a befitting reply so that the issue is buried forever.
“I would want my government to give a very strong befitting reply, based on facts, so that these kinds Kashmir-related issues are buried forever. That is what we expect from our government,” Jha told ANI.
“I think Pakistan doesn’t understand that India has moved far ahead as far as the Kashmir issue is concerned. Everybody, in fact, all countries of the world, believe that Kashmir is an integral part of India,” he added.
India has said that it will reply if Pakistan raises the Kashmir issue during the 70th session of the UN General Assembly.
On being asked whether India has taken notice of a statement made by Sharif, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said “When a statement comes from him (on Kashmir), then we will reply.” (ANI)
