Odhisa School mourns Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s death; closes for the day

Balasore, Odisha: Jharkhand’s Education Minister Neera Yadav had ‘paid her respects’ to former President APJ Abdul Kalam by offering floral tributes when he was alive and doing fine.

And now the headmaster of a primary school in Balasore district of Odisha, has announce the news of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s death, on Friday.

According to reports, the headmaster Kamalakanta Das, who was participating in a training programme made a call the teachers and instructed to shut the school for a day.

The teachers upon hearing the news that the Ex-PM was no more asked the students to assemble and even conducted a memorial meet to mourn the death.

The villagers and school committee members were shocked as the false news of Vajpayee’s death spread and complained to the District Collector seeking stern action against Das.

Das said that he learned the false information from a fellow teacher in Kotagadiya training center.

Collector Sanatan Mallik told The New Indian Express “He [Das] will be placed under suspension and if required criminal proceedings will also be initiated against the headmaster.”
