Not scared from going to jail: Ashutosh on Jaitley’s move

New Delhi: Undeterred by Union minister Arun Jaitley’s decision to slap criminal and civil defamation cases against Arvind Kejriwal and his party colleagues, the Aam Aadmi Party today said the party was neither “scared” nor “threatened”.

“AAP is not here to be threatened by people like Arun Jaitley who does not believe in taking matters to the people’s court,” AAP leader Ashutosh said.

Jaitley’s decision comes against the backdrop of attacks on him by Kejriwal and other AAP leaders over alleged irregularities and financial bunglings in Delhi’s cricket body, Delhi and District Cricket Association, of which he was the president for about 13 years till 2013.

Ashutosh said, “AAP is not scared if he wants to put up us in jail that’s the kind of politics he pursues.”

“This is a kind of conceding defeat. We have been relentlessly raising this issue for the last five days. Jaitley first said do not ask vague questions ask specific questions. I specifically questioned he did not reply, did not have have answers then he tried to threaten.
