No more extension in nuke talks, says Iran’s Foreign Minister Zarif

Tehran, July 13: Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has ruled out any further extension in the ongoing nuclear talks in Vienna.

After a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, Zarif said that there was no plan to extend the talks beyond the Monday deadline, adding that they needed ‘some more time’ to do ‘some more work’ but will finish, reported state-owned Mehr News Agency.

The statement came after French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said on Sunday that the nuclear talks were in ‘the final phase’.

The five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany have been holding intense talks over the past 16 days in Vienna to resolve the remaining issues and strike a nuclear deal with Iran in exchange for relief from sanctions. (ANI)
