Leader of Opposition in Assembly K. Jana Reddy on Wednesday claimed that the results of by-elections for Warangal Lok Sabha seat would not have a long-term impact on the State politics or the Congress party.
Addressing a press conference at Congress Legislature Party office here, Jana Reddy said that the factors that led to Congress party’s defeat in Warangal by-polls would be reviewed and steps would be taken to rejuvenate the cadre across the State. He said that the Congress cadre was not demoralised with the results. He said victory and defeat are part and parcel of politics and therefore, loss in a by-election should not be taken very seriously.
Jana Reddy expressed apprehensions over the implementation of major promises being made by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. He said he himself would support KCR, if his government completes all irrigation projects and provide tapped drinking water to all households in three years. (INN)
