Dept. of Education, Govt. of Telangana is taking steps to do away with the routine system of one time functioning of school during summer.
Reliable sources indicated that earlier, schools used to function for half a day from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during summer from 15th March. In the afternoon students and the teachers used to get free time. During this free time they used to attend to household work and play.
The Dept. of Education has therefore decided to run the schools according to regular timings. Director of School Education issued instructions to all the District Education Officers to frame the calendar accordingly.
